✝️ Spiritual Prepping Guide
Preparing your heart for the days ahead, and for eternity.
We live in uncertain times. Many are stocking up on supplies, creating emergency plans, and learning survival skills. While all of that has its place, the most important form of preparedness is often overlooked:
Preparing your heart.
When crisis hits — whether it’s a storm, collapse, war, or the return of Christ — our hope and endurance won’t come from what’s in our pantry. It will come from our relationship with God.
This guide will help you take clear, biblical steps toward spiritual preparedness.
🕊️ Step 1: Be Sure You Know Jesus
The most urgent preparation anyone can make is to be right with God through Jesus Christ.
“It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
If you’re not sure where you stand with God, start with our How to Know Jesus page. No prepping plan matters more than your eternal security.
📖 Step 2: Stay Rooted in God’s Word
God’s Word is our anchor in the storm. The Bible tells us what’s coming and how to stand firm.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Action Steps:
-
Read Scripture daily — even 10–15 minutes a day
-
Start with the books of John, Psalms, and Matthew 24
-
Memorize key verses like Psalm 91, Romans 8:38–39, and Isaiah 41:10
🙏 Step 3: Build a Prayer Life That’s Real
Prayer isn’t a ritual — it’s a lifeline. In crisis, panic will rise if prayer is absent. Peace will rise if prayer is present.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6
Action Steps:
-
Start each day with a simple prayer: “Lord, guide me and prepare my heart.”
-
Keep a journal of prayers and answered prayers
-
Pray with your spouse or children regularly
🛡️ Step 4: Put on the Armor of God
Paul didn’t tell believers to prepare physically — he told them to stand firm spiritually with the full armor of God.
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” — Ephesians 6:11
The Armor Includes:
-
Truth
-
Righteousness
-
The Gospel of Peace
-
Faith
-
Salvation
-
The Word of God
Action Step: Read and reflect on Ephesians 6:10–18. Ask God to help you put on His armor daily.
🤝 Step 5: Surround Yourself with Believers
Lone-wolf prepping is risky — spiritually and practically. God designed us for fellowship.
“Not neglecting to meet together… but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” — Hebrews 10:25
Action Steps:
-
Join a local Bible-believing church
-
Find or start a Christian prepper group
-
Stay connected through online Christian communities (email lists, podcasts, etc.)
🧭 Step 6: Watch, Wait, and Witness
Jesus warned us to watch for the signs — not to fear them, but to be ready.
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” — Matthew 24:42
Spiritual prepping is not about fear. It’s about faith. And it’s about helping others get ready too.
Action Steps:
-
Share your faith with friends and family
-
Keep your heart sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading
-
Trust that God is in control, no matter what comes
