About Me

🙋‍♂️ About Me

Hi, I’m Jason — a sinner saved by grace.

I wasn’t always a Christian.

I grew up in a divided home. My mom gave her life to Christ when I was still young, sometime in my pre-teen years. My dad, however, was a heavy drinker. When the alcohol took over, he would often become abusive — mostly toward my mom.

As a kid, I remember thinking, “I’ll never drink or do drugs.” But somewhere along the way, I became everything I said I’d never become.

I learned to play guitar, rode dirt bikes, and let my hair grow long. Eventually, I found myself running from God and deep into the world of rock music — in a band that stood for everything opposite of what my mom had taught me.

🎸 A Life on the Run

By 18, I was a full-blown alcoholic and regular drug user. It didn’t matter what the drug was — as long as it numbed me enough to escape the memories that tortured me.

I became a chameleon. When I was around church people, I knew exactly what to say and how to act. But when I was with my friends or bandmates, I partied like every night might be my last.

I had a child with my first wife, but the marriage didn’t last. We separated quickly, and my son lived with me.

In 1994, I started dating the woman who would eventually become my wife in 2003. By God’s grace, we’re still married today.

The truth is, I was a functioning alcoholic and drug addict. Somehow, I held together some version of a life. But inside, I was a mess.

🔁 Falling & Rising

In 2011, I went to rehab and recommitted my life to Christ. But alcohol still had a serious grip on me. And the devil was quick to whisper, “How could God love you? Look at everything you’ve done, Jason.”

And sadly, I believed the lie.

Still, God never let go of me.

Some time after the COVID pandemic, I began praying again. I started seeking the Lord — not because someone told me to, but because I needed Him. I had a void inside me that nothing else could fill.

The change was gradual… but real. I craved God’s Word. And every time I read it and lived it out, I felt peace.

I don’t know why God pursued me… but He did.
And I know this — He loves me. And He loves you too.

💡 A Calling from the Lord

I had recently re-launched a website that exposes online scams. But one day, the Lord spoke to me — not audibly, but so clearly I felt like I could hear Him say:

“Why aren’t you using your talents to lead people to Me — and help them prepare both for this world and the one to come?”

That’s when Prepared and Redeemed was born.

🔥 What This Website Is About

I believe God is calling His people to wake up, watch, and prepare — not in fear, but in faith.

This website is here to help people:

  • Prepare practically for emergencies, disasters, and uncertain times
  • Take care of their families during catastrophes
  • But most importantly…
  • Come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and be ready for eternity

Because friend, believe me — if God can save me, He can save anyone.

✝️ Jesus Is Knocking

No matter what you’ve done or where you are in life — Jesus will meet you there.

I still mess up. I still sin. I’m human. I’m not perfect — just redeemed.
I’m no better than anyone else. The only thing I have is Jesus — who died for my sins and rose again to offer me (and you) eternal life.

Jesus is knocking. Will you let Him in?

🙏 A Simple Prayer of Salvation

If you’ve read my story and feel the Lord tugging on your heart — don’t ignore Him. Jesus is knocking. He’s ready to forgive, restore, and redeem you just like He did for me.

You don’t need to have the right words — God sees your heart. But if you’re ready to surrender your life to Jesus, you can pray something like this:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner. I’ve tried living life my own way, and I’ve made a mess of it. But I believe You died for my sins and rose again to give me new life. Right now, I turn from my sin and ask You to forgive me. Come into my heart. Change me from the inside out. I want to follow You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for loving me, for saving me, and for never giving up on me. In Your name I pray, amen.”

If you prayed that and meant it, welcome to the family of God. That’s the greatest decision you’ll ever make — and I’d love to hear about it.

  1. Wow, Jason, thank you so much for sharing your testimony so openly. Reading about your journey, from growing up around brokenness, to running from God, to finally finding peace in Him, it is incredibly powerful. It’s amazing how you describe that slow but real change that happened once you truly started seeking the Lord for yourself, not because someone else told you to. Your honesty about still messing up, yet knowing you’re redeemed, makes your story feel so relatable and encouraging.

I also love how you’ve turned your past struggles into a mission to help others, both practically and spiritually. “Prepared and Redeemed” isn’t just a catchy name; it perfectly reflects your heart to help people get ready for life’s challenges and, even more importantly, to find hope and salvation in Christ. Your words really show that it’s never too late to come back, no matter how far we’ve gone. Thank you for letting God use your story, it truly gives hope that He can redeem anyone’s past and use it for something good!

    Kind regards

    Martin

    • Wow, Martin—thank you so much for your incredibly kind and heartfelt words. I’m truly humbled by your response.

It means a lot to hear that my story resonated with you. I believe with all my heart that God never wastes our pain—He redeems it, transforms it, and uses it to bring healing to others if we’re willing to surrender it to Him. What you said about seeking the Lord for yourself is exactly the turning point in my journey. Faith can’t just be inherited or borrowed—it has to become personal. And when it does, everything changes… even if it’s slow and messy sometimes.

I still fall short every day, but knowing I’m redeemed—not because I earned it, but because of His grace—gives me the strength to keep going and to help others do the same.

“Prepared and Redeemed” really is more than just a title—it’s a calling. It’s about being spiritually ready, practically wise, and above all, anchored in the hope we have in Christ. I’m so grateful God can use someone like me—broken, but made whole in Him—to reach others who may feel too far gone.

Thank you again, Martin. Your encouragement fuels the mission. Keep walking strong in the Lord—He’s not done writing your story either. ????

      Grace and peace,
      Jason

  2. Jason,
What a powerful testimony! As you have stated and the Bible says We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We all have a past and I thank you for being so honest and sharing yours. I believe God never makes us go through our trials but he lets us go through them. He is with us but these trials are to make us stronger. I look at your testimony and I believe with your trials you would be able to reach the alcoholic, drug addict, abused family member, and possibly the abuser better than some one that has never gone through those trials. You have been there, you have done that, you have experienced what they are going through. Now God is using that for good!
This website I believe is ordained by God and it will be a success. I thoroughly enjoy your site and I am book marking it and will be back. Keep up your ministry and I will be praying for you and this ministry, and I ask that you pray for me.

    • Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. Your comment truly touched my heart. You’re absolutely right—God doesn’t waste our pain. While He doesn’t cause the storms in our lives, He certainly uses them for His glory and our growth. I’m deeply grateful that He brought me through those dark times, not just for my own healing, but so I can now speak directly to those still in the struggle with compassion and understanding.

Your belief in this ministry means more than you know. It is my sincere prayer that Prepared and Redeemed continues to be a light and a source of strength for anyone seeking hope in these chaotic times. And yes, I will absolutely be praying for you. We are the body of Christ, lifting each other up, and I’m thankful to be walking this journey alongside brothers and sisters like you.

May God bless you richly and keep you strong in faith. I look forward to seeing you back here soon!

      In Christ,
      Jason
